Privacy Policy

TA pilot is a live Q&A tool for presenters. This policy describes what information the TA pilot website (tapilot.com) and the TA pilot Chrome Extension collect, why, and how it is stored.

We designed TA pilot to collect the minimum amount of information needed to run a Q&A session. There are no user accounts, no tracking cookies, and no advertising partners.

When you create a session on tapilot.com, we store:

• Session title (text you enter)
• Speaker names (text you enter)
• An admin password (hashed on our server) used to access TA Mode and the Manage page
• A short session code we generate for you

When an audience member submits a question, we store:

• The question text
• An optional screenshot uploaded by the submitter
• An optional display name (defaults to “Anonymous”)
• Which speaker the question is directed at
• A random voter ID stored in the audience member’s browser (localStorage) so we can prevent double-voting on the same question — this ID is never linked to personal information

The Chrome Extension itself only stores, in your local browser storage, the last session code you connected to and a short list of recent codes — so you can reconnect quickly. The extension does not read page content, form fields, or browsing history.

• We do not require user accounts or email addresses.
• We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics SDKs.
• We do not sell or share data with advertisers.
• We do not read the content of the tabs or pages you visit while the Chrome Extension is installed.

Session data (sessions, questions, votes, comments, uploaded screenshots) is stored on Supabase infrastructure. All sessions and their associated questions are automatically deleted 36 hours after creation. You can also delete a session manually at any time via the Manage page.

We use the data you submit only to operate the live Q&A session — to display questions to the presenter, to rank them by votes, and to let moderators mark them answered or dismissed. We do not use the data for any other purpose.

Because sessions do not require accounts and expire automatically, most data is ephemeral. If you wish to remove a specific question or session before expiry, use the Manage page for that session, or contact us at the address below.
